Cardowan Creameries has been a loyal supporter of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice for a number of years, sponsoring events such as the Five Ferries cycle challenge in Arran and backing the £21million Brick by Brick Appeal to build a new home for the hospice in the city’s Bellahouston Park.
The new hospice will offer 21st-century palliative care to the 1200 patients and families it looks after every year. There will be private bedrooms, areas for families to cook and eat together, outdoor space to explore and lounges to relax in, offering patients the quality of life they deserve in a place that looks and feels like home.
Work has now started on the build and patients are expected to move in 2018 - the hospice still has £1.75m to raise to reach its target. Buy a Brick, the latest phase of the Brick by Brick Appeal, launched recently.
